              Center for High Throughput Sequencing

Welcome to Center for High Throughput Sequencing!

About Center for High Throughput Sequencing

Under the lead of Prof. Runsheng Chen, Center for High Throughput Sequencing was founded in 2014. The center was affiliated to Core Facility for Protein Research. During the past five years, the center has supported dozens of groups/institutes/universities/companies. The machine has been run for more than 15,000 working hours.

The center provides the service of genome de novo sequencing, genome resequencing, transcriptome sequencing and other common high throughput sequencing. Furthormore, the center set up and optimized the library construction technologies of low initial DNA and single DNA, and also established new methods of data analysis and visualization.

The establishment of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has boosted the development of modern cellular and molecular biology. In order to provide single-cell sequencing, the center imported 10x Genomics chromium controller and could provide 21 single-cell sequencing services. The center recently developed spatially resolved transcriptomes database and online data visualiztion interface: SpatialDB (https://www.spatialomics.org/SpatialDB/). The center has cooperated with 10x Genomics to provide the service of spatial transcriptomics at single-cell resolution.

To break the monopoly of foreign sequencing instruments, the center imported domestic sequencing equipment BGISEQ-500 to provide high quality and low cost sequencing services.
